Fun quirks of language 01

Here's a fun fact for gweilos and bananas out there: The Chinese word for "owl" is 猫头鹰, which translates directly into English as "cat-headed hawk". The reason for this is that in certain parts of the glorious People's Republic of China, owls look like this:
